Saturday’s race saw the NIcole finish fifth in the foul conditions.
On Sunday, Nicole woke up to more rain… and a high fever. She was in such a state that she wasn’t sure if she could compete. However, she pushed through to qualify an excellent second, in the pouring rain.
Sunday’s race saw her furiously battle to defend her second-place starting position, which is where she ultimately finished.
Nicole and the team now have barely enough time to get healthy, and prepare for Buttonwillow, this coming weekend.
