F1 Academy Test for Nicole

Almost as soon as the final chequered flag fell at this weekend’s FR Americas event at Road America, Nicole Havrda was on her way to Chicago’s O’Hare airport. This time it wasn’t for the flight back to Vancouver, but to jet in the opposite direction. To Bilbao, Spain!

Nicole was excited to be heading to the Iberian Peninsula, where she will stay until the end of the month, to take part in an extensive multi-track testing and simulator program for the F1 Academy.

While in Spain, she will be under the watchful eye and tutelage of top team Campos Racing. Since its inception, the team has enjoyed success in Formula 3, GP2, Formula 2, and now, F1 Academy. The team’s stable has included several Formula One drivers, including double World Champion, Fernando Alonso.

Nicole will first test at the Circuito de Navarra, near Pamplona, before travelling nearly 500 km to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo near Valencia.
