Nicole forced to miss race due to illness

Due to the ongoing impact of Cyclone Michaung, the third round of the 2023 Indian Racing League took place this weekend at the Madras International Circuit. Unfortunately, Nicole Havrda was unable to compete, as she was too ill.

“I am so sorry to the whole team for not being able to race today. On Friday I woke up not feeling well, at all, and it just got worse. It was so bad today [Sunday] that I couldn’t get out of bed,” she said.

“I’m devastated that I couldn’t race today, because I know how incredibly hard the team worked to get the car set up.”

Nicole’s teammate Ryan Mohamed substituted for Nicole in the event’s final race.
